Jamie Creese Cutting The Overgrown Grass At St. John's Churchyard, Warminster

Sunday 19th June 2016:

Jamie Creese, proprietor of Lawn & Order
Gardening Services, giving up a day,
to cut the overgrown grass, free of charge,
at St. John's Churchyard, Boreham Road,

The combination of warm and wet weather
and the retirement of the volunteers
who usually keep the churchyard tidy,
meant the grass has grown higher than
the gravestones; some people said it
was the worst they had ever seen the
churchyard, something which was
causing anguish for many relatives
of the deceased who are buried here.

Jamie told us he had contacted the
churchwardens to no avail, and then decided
to take on the grass cutting, at his own
expense, such was his community spirit.

Jamie lives at Russett Court, Warminster,
and his gardening business
Lawn & Order, can be contacted
by telephoning 07764 723047.
