Get Involved With The Longleat Scarecrow Trail

Longleat are delighted to announce that this year, as part of their annual Halloween Festival from Saturday 22nd October to Sunday 30th October they will be hosting a brand new Scarecrow Trail and they say, excitingly, "we need your help!"

The Longleat Events Team have announced: "We are inviting schools, churches, charities, community groups and anyone who would like to be involved from the surrounding area, to design scarecrows for our trail. Not only will this be a fun activity to be a part of, the trail will help mark our 50th year celebrations since the Safari Park opened."

"This event will present a fantastic opportunity, where we hope people will learn about agriculture and the importance of harvest for farming communities and be involved in a community event. The theme for this year’s trail is animals which we hope will inspire further conversational topics on conservation, habitats and more."

"Each scarecrow will also be entered into our competition whereupon guests of the park will be encouraged to vote for their favourite and the creators can take home some fantastic prizes."

"If you would like to create a scarecrow  or know of anyone who would like to make a scarecrow for the trail please email, where we can supply more information as well as a starter pack of supplies (limited availability). We also ask each scarecrow to have an accompanying information sign so guests can learn about your creation."

"Scarecrows will need to be delivered to Longleat by Saturday 19th October 2016."
