Warminster Town Clerk Heather Abernethie To Retire

Saturday 1st October 2016:

 Heather Abernethie.

After what will be 12 years in the job, Warminster Town Clerk Heather Abernethie has decided that it's time to step down from the role and will be retiring from Warminster Town Council on 7th April 2017. Heather has overseen some significant changes in the town - not least the town centre improvements and the conversion of the Assembly Rooms into the Warminster Civic Centre - and been part of major projects including the Warminster Town Plan, Neighbourhood Plan, and more recently the taking on by Warminster Town Council of the public toilets and the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Town Park) from Wiltshire Council. Warminster Town Council will be advertising for a town clerk in October 2016 and will hope to have a new town clerk in post from March 2017.
