First Have Introduced New Discover Buses And Services

Starting from today (Sunday 29th April 2018) is the brand new First ‘Discover’ Bus. First Bus have unveiled its new Discover service with its yellow and brown livery.

The old 265 Service has now been replaced by the D1 service with a Bath-Warminster-Salisbury route. The D1 service will run right through from Bath-Salisbury seven days a week and on public holidays. That means passengers on some days will be able to get a through bus and not have to change in Warminster.

The D2 service Bath to Frome, which replaces the old 267 service, will have buses operating every 30 minutes but there have been changes to the route and timetable. Journeys on Sunday will be around once every two hours.

The new D3 service, which replaces the 271 and 272 services, will opeate the Bath-Bowerhill-Devizes-Urchfont route, and will run every 30 minutes instead of every hour, six days a week. Buses will run less often on Sundays and bank holidays, but it will still be a through journey with no changes.

The new First Discover buses have the destinations on the outside of the bus, and maps and routes on the inside. There is new flooring and seating, new USB charging points, free wi-fi and contactless payments too.
