Warminster Town Councillors Investigating The Cost For A New paddling Pool In The Lake Pleasure Grounds (Town Park)

The paddling pool in the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Town Park) in Warminster is a popular attraction that draws in people from the town and beyond. The pool is, however, quite old and Warminster Town Councillors have now given the go-ahead to investigating the cost of replacing it with a new pool on the same site.

Councillor Denis Brett, Chairman of the Town Council’s Devolved Assets and Service Committee said: “The paddling pool is incredibly popular, particularly at weekends and during the school holidays. It has, however, needed to have significant repairs made due to its age and sometimes damage caused by inappropriate use. I am delighted that Town Councillors have voted to look into the option of providing a new pool, which may be able to have additional features such as water filtration/re-cycling, a robust/heavy duty cover and improved safety surfaces in and around the pool edge.”
